My final project consisted of a mixture of three different program that I learned during the year:
- Photoshop
- Soundcloud & audition
- Imovie
My project is a short movie preview about a guy named Pedro (played by my boyfriend Bilel) who is traveling around the world to try to find the last cerveza possible. He goes from looking underwater to looking in a field filled of goat and to finish his crazy exploration in a mountain. The video shows short preview of each and finish by Pedro finally finding the LAST CERVEZA!!!
I used photoshop to create the movie “poster”. I know the poster could have been better by including some writing on it, but honestly I liked the vibe of now having anything written on it. I think it looked better when I submitted it on soundcloud for the “album cover”. In my photoshop I decided to put my boyfriend and create a Mexico vibe since most of the videos/picture in my movie is filmed in Mexico, and the music also is based on a mexican theme.

For my music, I used audition and I decided to post my final music on soundcloud. Creating the music wasn’t too hard but it took me forever. I uploaded the final music, made on a Mexican theme on soundcloud with the same picture I used in photoshop.
For the video part, I decided to create a short movie/preview for a future movie. I used some old pictures and videos from my boyfriend and I’s previous vacation in Cuba and Mexico. I wanted to include the tropical location into my video since my theme was “Mexico”! At the end of the video we can see my boyfriend FINALLY finding his beer and drinks it, don’t worry he is old enough to drink ;)!!
I had a lot of fun creating this project. My favorite thing program is definitely photoshop. I feel it relaxing and stress free. The two others takes too long in my opinion and I don’t find it as fun!
At first I wanted to film a movie about my dog, but then I remembered that the last video I made was about my cats and honestly I didn’t want to become THAT girl. But hey I still love my dog ahah!!
For the music part, since my first idea was to make a movie about my dog, I wanted to record her barking during the day and make a song on that. Good thing I didn’t do that cause, honestly listening to that would have been painful, so I saved you that 😉 I think my final idea was better, and the music is way nicer tho hear! That little Mexican vibe music made me want to travel so bad!!!!!
To conclude my project and the semester, I learned different techniques that will always be useful for me. I discovered a new thing that I like doing, photoshop! It is really sad that the semester ended that way, because I am sure I would have learned so much more with a professor like you, Adam Zaretsky. Thank you for a great semester and enjoy your summer!
best,
